Ola Domaradz, Certified Conscious Parenting Coach | ABCparenting
Hello, I’m Ola Domaradz, a certified Conscious Parenting coach and founder of ABCparenting. I help parents deepen their connection and learn to navigate everyday challenges they face with their children – from tantrums, sibling rivalry and anxiety to disrespect, mealtime struggles and more.
I’m also a proud mother of two children – two beautiful and completely different spirits who delight, challenge and teach me every day.
I have more than 15 years of experience in human resources, personal development and coaching individuals and teams in a corporate setting. Since becoming a mom and becoming a certified Conscious Parenting coach, my focus has shifted to one-on-one coaching with parents.
I understand where you’re coming from, where you’re at, and where you want to be. Let’s embark on this conscious parenting journey together.
How my journey began
I had no idea that being a parent would turn out to be the most challenging adventure of my life. Sound familiar? As a parent, I’ve struggled with the same things as you do – tantrums, separation anxiety, aggression, non-listening, the list goes on… Though this didn’t really start until my second child was born – a more vocal, strong, sensitive and assertive child. Meltdowns became the norm and I was overwhelmed and brought to tears of frustration on a daily basis. Deciding to leave the corporate world to focus on my family and stay home with my children was one of the most difficult, profound and life-changing decisions I have ever made.
Overwhelmed, I searched for answers.
I was trying to understand, make sense of it all and see what I was doing wrong (imagine the guilt and pressure!). I turned to traditional parenting methods and tried all the conventional approaches – timeouts, taking things away, yelling and controlling – to no avail. I was completely devastated. Emotionally exhausted. I felt horrible because all the “typical” ways of parenting were intuitively unnatural to me. They just didn’t feel right.
The first of many awakening moments
My world started to shift when I came across Dr. Shefali Tsabary and her insightful book, The Conscious Parent. I remember reading her book for the first time and bawling uncontrollably. There it was, in black on white, a clear description of what I was feeling and thinking. After studying under Dr. Tsabary’s guidance and taking part in the first cohort of Conscious Parenting coaches, I realized that children are here to awaken us and present us with opportunities to heal issues from our own childhoods. They are our mirrors. So I started using these ‘challenges’ as a gift – as a portal to my greater awareness and freedom.
When everything changed… for the better.
My relationship with my daughter has truly transformed from ‘hell’ to bliss. That doesn’t mean that we don’t face any more challenges; this is a moment-by-moment journey of personal growth. My entire perspective has changed. I am now in a beautiful dance, walking hand-in-hand with my kids and forever grateful to them for being my best life teachers. My awareness is much greater. My presence is expansive. Our connection is deep.
Why I do what I do
I know what it’s like to feel riddled with doubts as a parent – to feel inadequate, depleted, devastated, stretched too thin. I’ve been there. And I know how to turn it around. Through the Conscious Parenting method, I help parents cultivate a new awareness, greater presence and deeper connection with themselves and their children. I find great joy in helping bring joy back into the parenting process, in being an advocate for children by helping their parents one by one.
A bit more about me
A nature lover at heart, you’ll often find me with my family out for a walk in the woods. I’m a lifelong learner and embrace the wonder of trying new things, exploring new places and sharing it with the community.
